The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer Notice, Return and Refund Policy, and any or all agreements: “Client,” “You,” and “Your” refer to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company,” “Ourselves,” “We,” “Our,” and “Us” refer to our Company. “Party” or “Parties” refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance, and consideration of payment necessary to undertake our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration or any other means, for the purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of the provision of the Company’s stated services and products, in accordance with and subject to the laws of South Africa. Any use of the above terminology, or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation, and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to the same.

Sale of Wine to Minors
The sale of wine to persons under 18 years of age is prohibited under South African law. By using our online shop, you affirm that you are 18 years of age or older. The person receiving delivery of the wine must also be 18 years of age or older, and proof of age and identification may be requested at the time of delivery.
Payment Options
The preferred forms of payment are credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) and bank transfer. In the event of a bank transfer, your order will only be processed once the transfer has been received.
Delivery
We deliver within South Africa only. All deliveries are by courier, direct to your door. A signature must be obtained from an adult aged 18 years or older upon delivery. Should you not be available to receive your package, a note will be left requesting that you contact the courier to arrange delivery at a suitable time.
Important notice: special delivery instructions (for example, requesting that the courier leave the package in a specific location) constitute your effective permission for the package to be delivered without a signature.
Return and Refund Policy
If we are unable to source the vintage you requested, we will offer to exchange it for an alternative vintage, or refund you if this is not acceptable.
If your order is returned or cancelled, the shipping charges incurred in returning it to Springfontein Wine Estate must be covered by you. However, if the wine or order is found to be faulty, we will cover the shipping charges — conditional on you using the same courier to return the order. In such cases, we will credit the value of the returned product to your credit card.
Please note that we are not able to exchange or refund wines that are simply not to your personal preference. You are welcome to contact us should you require advice on wine selection prior to purchase.
Please report any breakages or shortages to info@springfontein.co.za within 48 hours, preferably by email, quoting your receipt number.
Goods are only insured up to the point of delivery — that is, until a signature is obtained, or until the goods are left in accordance with your special delivery instructions.
