For those who prefer a more independent adventure, Springfontein offers vineyard strolls, Fynbos fields, and eucalyptus and milkwood forests, as well as a network of marked cross-country hiking and mountain biking trails for all levels of stamina and skill.
Springfontein is also the perfect base for exploring everything Walker Bay has to offer. The nearby ocean invites long walks along pristine white-sand beaches, meandering between untouched dunes and the wild sea. For equestrian enthusiasts, African Horse Company offers both spirited and leisurely horse riding experiences.
Seasonally, the bay becomes a world-famous destination for Southern Right whale watching in Hermanus and Gansbaai, while adventurous souls can enjoy Great White shark cage diving year-round. Penguin and seal colonies are also within easy reach.
