The Limestone Rocks estate wines stand for the special connection between Springfontein and its exceptional limestone terroir. Powerful, fleshy and voluminous, they retain the minerality and freshness characteristic of the region.

The maritime limestone forms the geological foundation of the Springfontein Rim. The vines root deep into the lime-rich soils, drawing water and minerals from them. Together with the cool coastal climate, the proximity to the Atlantic and the pristine fynbos vegetation, this soil shapes the wines’ structure and tension.

The Limestone Rocks wines are produced with the utmost degree of manual work. The grapes are carefully selected and vinified separately before the individual components are blended into a characterful cuvée. Extended maturation in barriques gives the wines time to develop depth and complexity, combining concentrated fruit with the structure of the wood.

Even after bottling, the wines receive additional ageing time in our cellar before being released. Bottled unfiltered, natural sediment may form as the wine ages.
