ULUMBAZA Pink

The Ulumbaza Pink is a distinctive rosé blend from the Springfontein Rim. Like all wines in the Ulumbaza family, it follows the same sensory direction as our Terroir Selection, but is created as a blend. The unifying element of the Ulumbaza wines is Pinotage.

Unlike a classic saignée rosé, the Ulumbaza Pink is not produced as a by-product of red winemaking, but as a stand-alone wine with its own separate skin contact. Pinotage is combined here with Merlot and Chenel.

The grapes are hand-picked, carefully sorted and vinified separately. After a brief period of skin contact, they are pressed and the juice gently fermented. The wine then matures on the fine lees before the individual batches are blended into the final cuvée.

In the glass, the Ulumbaza Pink shows itself fresh and lively, with generous aromas of strawberries and cherries and a pleasantly dry finish.
