“Ulumbaza” translates to House of Joy — a name that perfectly reflects the spirit of this unique space. Set within the farm’s more than 200-year-old thatched stable, ULUMBAZA today brings together history, wine, and hospitality in one place.
Here, we proudly pour not only the wines under the ULUMBAZA label, but the full range of wines from Springfontein and Cape Moby. As our main domestic sales point, guests are welcome to enjoy guided or self-paced tastings, and to take home their favourites — whether a single bottle or a full case.

We are open 7 days a week, daily from 11h00 to 21h00, and look forward to welcoming you. Pop in for a relaxed glass of wine, explore our current releases — with a few surprises along the way — and enjoy a wide range of delicacies for lunch or dinner. ULUMBAZA also serves as a breakfast venue and offers occasional special sales.
Complementing the wines is a carefully curated selection of regional dishes, available à la carte from our seasonal Bar(n) Menu. In addition, a blackboard presents our daily specials, highlighting fresh ideas from the kitchen. You’ll find the current menu further below.
